Update or re-import a job

3 min read · Jan 22, 2026
Quick Answer

Edit any job anytime from your dashboard. Use re-import to pull fresh details from an updated URL. Changes apply immediately to future matches.

Editing existing jobs

You can edit any job at any time, whether it is a draft, in review, or live.

How to edit

  1. Go to your Dashboard
  2. Find the job in your sidebar
  3. Click the job name to open it
  4. Click Edit to modify

You will see the same side-by-side editor used during creation.

What you can edit

All fields are editable:

  • Job title and level
  • Tech stack and requirements
  • Location and remote policy
  • Compensation range
  • Description
  • Screening questions

When changes take effect

Job status When changes apply
Draft Immediately
In review After re-review
Live Immediately for new matches

For live jobs, changes apply to new developer matches. Candidates who already opted in saw the original version.

Re-import from URL

If your original job posting has been updated, you can re-import:

When to re-import

  • Your careers page job was updated
  • Requirements or compensation changed
  • You want to refresh the description

How to re-import

  1. Open your job in the editor
  2. Click Re-import in the header
  3. Paste the updated URL (same or different)
  4. Review the new extraction
  5. AI will show what changed
  6. Accept changes or edit further

What re-import does

  • Fetches fresh content from the URL
  • Shows differences from current version
  • Lets you selectively accept changes
  • Preserves your manual edits if desired

Major vs. minor changes

Minor changes (no re-review)

  • Fixing typos
  • Small wording adjustments
  • Adding details to description
  • Updating benefits

These apply immediately.

Major changes (may require re-review)

  • Changing job title significantly
  • Major compensation changes
  • Switching remote policy
  • Substantially different requirements

Our team may review major changes to ensure continued quality.

Updating screening questions

You can add, edit, or remove questions:

  1. Open job in editor
  2. Navigate to screening questions
  3. Make changes
  4. Save

Note: Candidates who already answered see the original questions. New candidates see updated questions.

Pausing vs. editing

If you need to make significant changes:

  1. Pause the job first (stops new matches)
  2. Make your edits
  3. Resume when ready
  4. New matching begins with updated criteria

This prevents candidates from seeing a mid-edit version.

Version history

We do not currently offer version history, but:

  • You can contact support to review change history
  • Major changes are tracked for quality purposes

Troubleshooting

Re-import not working?

  • Check that the URL is still valid and accessible
  • Try a fresh URL if the page structure changed
  • Manually edit if re-import consistently fails

Changes not appearing?

  • Refresh your browser
  • Clear cache if needed
  • Changes to live jobs apply to new matches only

Accidentally made wrong changes?

  • There is no undo, but you can edit again
  • Contact support if you need to restore previous content
